Gosh, a Soccer Fundraiser to Pay for Shoes

Soccer shoes have become a large expense involved in playing soccer.  There is no such thing as a regular soccer shoe anymore and with that comes some expense.  Many teams that require all players to have the same style shoe or a more technologically sound one have decided to do a soccer fundraiser to help with the cost.  

There's no one ideal shoe, but there's a lot of good product out there today.  A multitude of factors determine "the right" shoe: how it flexes, how it breathes, etc. The ideal soccer shoe would be a second skin with cleats sticking out.  With every shoe created, they try to get a little closer to that ideal shoe without sacrificing stability and comfort or exposing the player to injury.

Research has affected soccer shoes more than in the outsole than anywhere else.  With new cleat systems being devised, it greatly improves the distribution of pressure across the forefoot and reduces turf toe and knee injuries.  One huge stride on the road to that ideal shoe was the split outsole design introduced with the Predator Mania and now featured in every one of Adidas' top shoes including the $200 Predator Pulse and the $160 F50-Plus.

Most soccer players like to buy their shoes two sizes too small. They don't want their foot to slide inside the shoe during sudden turns and stops. Players are willing to wear the shoes a little short in order to get that tightness around their foot.

Choosing a shoe that is right for your team is more than just the color or design.  You will need to find a shoe that fits the conditions your team will be playing in.  Obviously if you are playing outside, you will want cleats, where as if you were playing indoor, cleats are not necessary.  

When making your final decision, you will want to choose something that is comfortable to the player and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.  If a player feels good in the shoe, they will play better in them too!
