An Interview along with David Barton and Rick Green
In late 1987, I extraordinarily providentially discovered that following the supreme court choices in 1962-1963 removing voluntary college prayer and Bible reading from public faculties that academic achievement scores plummeted, student crime exploded, and measures of student ethicality skyrocketed ( e.g, teen pregnancies, STD rates, and so on. ). That research, primarily based on cabinet-level federal stats, ended in the publication of our first book, America : to wish or Not to pray . I also discovered that early court rulings on issues we face today ( e.g, prayer in public, Bible reading in colleges, public porno, etc . ) were exactly the complete opposite of those rendered by courts today. Those early courts cited the original scribblings of the Founding Fathers, and upon reading those papers, I discovered that they contradicted much of what I had been taught about history. We so started to collect original documents and currently have in our library some seventy thousand documents predating 1812 which unequivocally document not only our religious, moral, and constitutional heritage in general, but our Christian heritage particularly. This research has led to a number of subsequent books. what has been the best example of law deviating from its original intent?
An illustration of the changes in law may be seen in the life of Charles Finney, one of America's famous revivalists, active in the 2nd Great Awakening. In his autobiography, Finney reports that he planned to be a counsel, and as he examined the popular law books of his day, those texts also presented the Biblical concepts on which the laws were based. In the process of studying the law texts, Finney read such a lot of the Bible that he changed into a Christian and received his call to the ministry.
Supreme Court, credited with starting the 1st organized legal coaching in America for law scholars. Wilson taught students :
[I]t must always be remembered that this law,. Made for men or for nations, flows from the same Divine source : it's the law of The Lord God. Human law must rest its authority, at last, on the authority of that law which is Divine.
Today, [**] Christianity and the law became rivals and enemies. Chambers, the jury sentence of a man convicted and sentenced by a jury for taking an axe handle and cruelly clubbing to death a 71-year-old woman to steal her Social Security check was reversed by the court because the prosecuting attorney - in a press release that lasted less than five seconds - had mentioned a Bible verse in the courtroom.
Depending on this defective view of history, in the last few weeks they not only filed a case to stop requests at presidential inaugurations but also to get rid of the nation's Day of Prayer. Their consultation is effective only if one doesn't know anything about America's history or its Founding Fathers. This is the rationale why WallBuilders attempts to'present America's forgotten history and heroes, with importance on our moral, non earthly, and constitutional heritage.'
About David Barton and Rick Green
David Barton and Rick Green recount that it is an 1807 Fed passport ( released in both English and German ), permitting the ship Herschel to proceed on its journey to London. Notice that President Jefferson dated the letter'in the year of our Lord CHRIST' - language quite particular from other Presidents but language that Jefferson selected to use. These are a few of the thousands of official governmental documents disproving the modern claim that America was set up as a temporal country.

About the Author
Rick Green and David Barton explain that Many major internet sites and encyclopedias identify the 4th of July as “America’s largest religious holiday,” and the compendium outlines “secular” as “pertaining to things that aren’t regarded as non secular or sacred.” the events leading in to America’s birthday were anything except temporal. As George Washington recognized, “The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that he has got to be worse than an infidel that lacks religion, and
