If you don’t have them serviced every so often then they could lose their accuracy or water resistance. This should be a good enough reason for you to get on it and get it into the shop. If you have a quartz analog watch than you are in luck because it doesn’t need to be serviced nearly as often as a mechanical watch. It will probably need a battery change every few years, but it won’t need a complete servicing except for every six to ten years. If you have a digital quartz it shouldn’t ever need to be serviced except to change the batteries.
