Football in La Manga

La Manga in south-eastern Spain is a regular location used as a training resort for professional football teams. La Manga is situated on a 1400-acre sporting paradise and is nestled between the low hills of the Murcian Mountains.

La Manga is praised for being one of the best football training centres and tournament venues for professional clubs throughout Europe. Its reputation as a first-class, year-round practice facility in an ideal climate has attracted the attention of the footballing world.

In March 2010 around 50 senior executives from the sports industry will hold an annual conference at the La Manga Club resort in Spain. This will be the first time this conference has been held outside of the UK.

They will also be joined by other sporting body representatives from FIFA, the FA, UEFA, NFL, NBA, RFU, F1 and PGA.

La Manga is also home to the La Manga Cup. The La Manga Cup is a winter football tournament played in La Manga. The cup attracts national teams from around the world such as United States, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia and the Ukraine.
