Look for Navarre Not Leinart to Relieve Warner!

The wait is over in Arizona as former USC Heisman Trophy winner of 2004, Matt Leinart, has ended his holdout with the Cardinals. Leinart made a mistake in coming back to USC in 2005 as he would have been the first overall pick in the 2005 draft. Scouts had an extra year to poke and probe and they realized that maybe Leinart was the beneficiary of an outstanding surrounding cast.

Why did Arizona give him mega millions to sign? Two words folks: New Stadium! For years the Cardinals have used the Sun Devil Stadium as an excuse and that they are playing in a college town. Now, the state of the art facility is in place and they have a high octane offense with James, Bolden, Fitzgerald and Warner.

The problem for Coach Dennis Green is keeping pivot Kurt Warner vertical long enough to get the birds to the Promised Land. If he gets hurt again, can Leinart deliver? I say forget the southpaw from USC and do what New England did and turn to a former Wolverine, John Navarre.

Navarre has been with Arizona for two years and has only thrown a limited number of balls, but he does come from a school that put the ball in the air and he has the size and bulk to handle the rough stuff.

Leinart is now behind the eight ball as he has missed so much time and will not get the repetitions with the first team that he needs. Quarterbacks must be on the same page with their receivers and this can only happen with substantial playing time.

Playing at Michigan, there is an expectation of play. It is very demanding. They develop mental toughness and certain skills that will prepare them and take them to the next level. In the next level, when they're in that situation, they're ready for anything. They're prepared and they're mentally tough. They know what they need to get done in order to win ball games. That's usually where football betting comes in to play.
