Custom Socks

Custom socks are socks that you can get made and customized, according to your needs, whether it's in terms of color, logo, size, model or fabric.

Customized socks can be designed for various uses, whether it's for school stores, sport teams, promotional gifts, family reunions, bands, etc ...

They are mostly available in 3 models: The shortest are ankle socks, which are also called quarter socks and can be found in two variations (one is slightly shorter than the other). Crew socks are your standard calf-length socks. As for tube socks they are knee-length socks that are mostly used for sports.

Before ordering custom made socks, you should consider a few elements:

If the socks you need are for dress, work or casual wear, you can just select a fabric that is comfortable and don't need to worry about anything else. However, if you need socks for sports, that's another story: you need socks that are durable and comfortable, whether it's hot, cold or humid and, most importantly, that can prevent blisters. In that case, you should order technical socks, which contrary to cotton, have a wick-moisture away capability that prevents blisters; for your information, good technical socks are usually made of 85% Ultra Wicking Acrylic, 10% Spadex and 5% Nylon.

While, in terms of model, you should do your homework and know what you need, especially if it's for a sport team, you should also ensure that these socks can be fully customized: you should be able to get your logo and/or text of your choice featured on any side of the sock and, obviously, be able to pick the color(s) you want.

When it comes to delivery time, you shouldn't have to wait more than 6 weeks, which leaves you enough time to plan ahead. You can find some companies that deliver between 4 and 6 weeks.

As for the price, it mostly depends on the quantity. To give you an idea, most companies charge around $4.50 per pair for around 300 pairs however you can certainly find cheaper. Manufacturers usually don't give their prices on their websites and you will need to contact them - here is a tip: contact them by e-mail to avoid any sales pitch and avoid sites that encourage you to call. Here is another important tip about pricing that you should consider: most companies charge a set-up fee that they don't include when they give you a price per pair or dozen. As a result, the price per unit is higher than what they tell you; rather go for companies that do not charge any set-up fee so you know what you're paying!

Last but not least, and maybe this doesn't matter to you, but some companies take advantage of cheap oversea labor with poor working conditions; if you don't want to endorse those kinds of practices, look for companies that clearly state where their socks are made.
